You may find many explanations and very different  or even false data, mostly describing only a part of "Qi"  like: energy, life force or breath. The reason for it is:  Do you want to use the ancient  or today's meaning of the word "Qi". "Qi" is matter, energy and information all in one. You want an explanation ? "Hunyuan-Qi" the finest "Qi" is around us and in the universe. The scientists say that the emptiness of the universe  is not emptiness. The matter of "Qi" "Hunyuan-Qi" in very high concentration may be a creature,  an animal, a tree, a stone or something else. The energy of "Qi" With the practice we absorb "Qi" from the surrounding or release used "Qi". The information of "Qi" Every creature, a tree, a stone, owns a "Qi Field". Change the "Qi Field" and the matter will change, like the information changed. ...

Why do we have the feeling, we do not go on ? Why do we have the feeling, we do not make any progress ? Because again and again we lose the holistic of the person. This even happens in China, however, it's an essential for Qigong. Dr. Pang Ming already ascertained:  In the Western World there is an extra emphasis on the logic.  They try to explain all with logic, even that, which isn't and perhaps never will be explainable by logic. Qigong the parent system of "Zhineng Qigong" was created, as people started thinking about the best way how to live, how to get very old and stay healthy. However, as it is often the case, the result usually has precious little to do with the original intention. The search for harmony, for a lifestyle without any hectic, with conscious acting, self-control in daily life or self-control in eating and other parts of the life should help to achieve this. This includes also the training of the mind, ethics and much more. This started thousands of years before our time and it changed already very much and will do so in the future. The Reference System of "Zhineng Qigong" changes after  successfully terminating a level, learn the form - the movements  - and afterwards fill the form with content. The Reference System is not a very certain system of values. It is different, every level is different and so are the changes. Example:   There are people with a very dominating ego.  This egoism does not suit "Zhineng Qigong".  You have to feel it and to reduce it.  If you do not succeed, you will get caught  by a level sooner or later.  Example:   Dr. Pang Ming already says: „Do not compare with others.“  It doesn't matter if the movements look pretty or correctly done.  Most important is to let “Qi“ flow and let "Qi" work.  With the comparison: I am or I can do better starts egoism.  Example: To fit in a position does not depend on your ego. You have to  own the capabilities and the Reference System for that....

Every person owns a personal Reference System,  a system of values. The personal Reference System changes in your life,  helps you to decide. The Reference System is  as different as people are. With the Reference System you are able to decide  what is right or wrong. What is of value or worthless  and ethically right or not. As the Reference System changes in the life of a person,  it is possible to interact during the development,  if you know how to do it. You may decide to change something in your life or  the circumstances around you change into the good or  bad and force you to do something. To make it simple:  What is of importance today, is without tomorrow. To change consciously the own personal Reference System  is not easy. What's this ? I think, nothing new, but something to think about.  The way you used to think  will change practicing "Zhineng Qigong". It is not only a physical practice. The whole person is needed. Practicing “Zhineng Qigong“ works very differently. Act consciously in your movements during practice:   All movements have to be done consciously not by instinct. Your thoughts are always in the movement,  nothing is done automatically. You consciously absorb “Qi“ and release “Qi“. You are sending “Qi” with your mind to any point of your body. Where to ? - It depends upon where your mind is. Therefore the attention is always in your movements. Not at your business or at work. The whole person is needed. What is acting by instinct in daily life:  You are visiting a homepage or blog in the Internet. You read something interesting, increase your knowledge. You profit from the work of other people. You share knowledge with them, it happens...

You may also find the name „Healing Circle" instead of „Qi Circle“ in the English language. A more precise, a scientific name for it is “Qi Circle“. What happens there ? The practitioners are forming a circle and are sending “Qi“ into the circle. They are organizing a very strong „Qi Field“. The highest density is in the center of the circle. A practitioner may sit down in the center of the „Qi Circle“. The quality of the “Qi Circle“ depends of the practitioners. How much "Qi" you are sending into the "Qi Circle" depends on the strength of your own personal „Qi“ which you have and are able to organize. With little „Qi“ you are only able to organize a weak „Qi Field“ . So, the effect will be very strong or nothing.
